A beautiful blowout that drops out by lunchtime is every hair-lover's frustration. The good news: making it last is mostly about technique and a few smart finishing habits. Here's how to get two, three days (or more) out of your Pro Blo blowout.
1. Start clean and dry it fully
Product build-up and leftover dampness both make curls drop. Begin on clean hair, rough-dried to around 70β80%, then blow-dry each section fully β especially the roots β before you set it. Never roll up damp hair.
2. Cool every section before unwinding
This is the number one trick. Warm hair is soft and loses its shape; cooled hair holds. Let each section cool fully on the barrel before you unwind it β it takes seconds and makes all the difference.
3. Work in neat sections
Thinner, even sections dry through completely and hold far better than big chunks where the heat can't reach the middle.
4. Lock it in
Once you're done, a light mist of hairspray or a little texture spray sets your volume. Flip your head and shake out the roots first for natural lift.
5. Protect it overnight
Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction, or loosely pin your hair up so you're not crushing your volume flat.
6. Refresh, don't restart
On day two or three, a little dry shampoo at the roots revives volume and soaks up oil β no need to redo the whole thing.
